Simply twist the plug counterclockwise to loosen. Once unthreaded, remove plug and pour cremation ashes directly into the 1" hole. You may have to gently shake or tap the urn to settle the remains into the space. The cubic capacity of this urn is approximately 53 cubic inches which is equivalent to 53 lbs of live body weight. Note: The aquamation process can yield up to 20% more volume in ash over traditional cremation so be sure to account for this when calculating the size you need. Display Stand Optional This urn may be laid flat on a surface or with purchase of optional display stand, it may be displayed angled upright. The display stand is approximately 5.5"W x 6"L x 6.25"H while the urn itself is approximately 7"x7"x 3.25" thick. The display stand is currently only available in black metal. Personalization Available Choose from block or script text engraving and then choose a clip art image if desired. The urn's area allows for either 4 lines of text at 25 characters each or 3 lines of text at 25 characters each + clip art. A character would be a letter, number, symbol, or space. Engraving will come through as the brass base metal color underneath (a pale gold color).
