This is the most beautiful and magical nightlight. Love it's realistic moon appearance!I didn't have very high expectations from reading previous reviews, but it is honestly just "Meh." I ordered the moon one because I'm a huge fan of the moon and it matches the bathroom theme. As far as nightlights go it's really lackluster. First, as stated before the moon piece is just a thin piece of plastic so light can pass through for the illuminated moon effect. It doesn't seem very sturdy.More importantly, the first thing I did was go out to buy an LED light because after just the 45 seconds I plugged this in to check it out the light it came with was already getting hot to the touch. I keep house for some cats so I trust nothing that gets hot and is close to some plastic... or anything else. Unfortunately the LED light is pretty dim so it doesn't even give the illuminated moon effect, so I might look for some other type of light to put in there.Also, this isn't light sensing- you either turn it on or you turn it off. It was quite cheap so I'm not expecting anything awesome but when it comes down to it I'd rather have something awesome. I couldn't seem to find any really amazing moon nightlights though. Before the bathroom just had a plain square light sensing LED nightlight so this is at least more interesting than that and I'll likely keep it until I find something more exciting.I honestly hate this night light. A lot. I have a fox themed bedroom and was pleasantly surprised when I happened upon this fox option when looking at some of the other styles available. While I like the look of it just fine and have no real qualms with the aesthetics of the piece, that doesn’t make up for the fact that this is a complete piece of garbage. Junk. Rubbish. Trash. It absolutely WILL NOT, under any apparent circumstance, stay lit. I have insomnia, so even if and when I am able to fall asleep, I wake up multiple times in the night. It’s upsetting to me to wake up in pitch black, so I have a wide and varied collection of night lights (from laughably cheap to shockingly expensive), with a large stock of new accompanying bulbs ever on stock. I consistently wake up in the dark with this. It consistently needs to be “jiggled” to get working again. I am consistently trying new bulbs in hope of an easy solution. The wind from someone walking through the hallway is enough to turn it off! I wish that was hyperbole. It is not. I WANT A NIGHT LIGHT THAT WILL LIGHT MY NIGHT! Sadly, this is not the product, even though I so wanted to love it. I have $1 night lights that have never, through YEARS, given me problems. I’ve had this piece of debris 2 months.Two stars for the fox.This is just a plastic disk with vague designs of the craters of the moon. It doesn’t let the light shine through on the contrary it obstructs the light to the point of looking like a black disk with shy rays of light coming from behind. When you plug it in you are not aware anymore that that is a representation of the moon, because all turns dark, you don’t see the craters, or the moon surface designs, all is black and dark.I guess the description of this moon night light is accurate, but I am really disappointed by the quality. This is one of those dollar store night light bases from decades ago- cheap plastic, on/off switch, incandescent bulb (they do make this style bulb in LED now). The moon is a flat plastic disk that clips on rather clumsily. The sits out about .75 inch from the bulb, so the bulb is largely visible from many angles.I was charmed by the idea of a moon night light, but now I feel like an idiot for paying $12 for this piece of junk. Seriously- they could have at least made the bulb LED and then reduced the distance of the moon from the bulb. And a light sensor to provide auto on/off. Most cheaper night lights have at least those features. Making the moon disk convex would help too.I use this in the bathroom to avoid turning on the regular (read: TOO BRIGHT AT 3 AM) light at night, and against a white wall, it's effectively bright enough to dimly light the bathroom, while also being gentle enough not to destroy my retinas in the middle of the night. The image of the moon is why I wanted this, and I'm not disappointed in the least. This would probably be a great gift for your local astronomer (of any age) or anyone with an interest in cool household stuff.Warning!! Do not try to eat this product. I have been picking glass out of my teeth and gums for three days. You think they would warn somebody that the pizza is only a decoration! Other than that I am happy with the product. There are monsters that live in my closet that will eat me if there isn't light in my room at night and thank the heavens this product provides the necessary protection. As for my cousin Jimmy...RIP.We ordered the earth one for our daughter. It is really cool and we love it. The light that came with it is very bright. Like the sun. We swapped it out and now it is just right! Great deal for the cost.Excellent bright white light. Inicie el proceso de devolución y no han hecho nada al respecto. Muy mal por el vendedor y más por Amazon que no responde por dicho producto
