(This is the same review I posted to iTunes, I'm replicating it here in case people don't check both before considering buying this awesome album)I had the joy of attending the CD release concert for this album and getting my hands on a copy several days early...and I haven't stopped listening to it since! Full of rocking solos, moving lyrics, beautiful harmonies, and an unabashed message of love, this album is a joy to experience. Yes I know that sounds cheesy, but listen to it in its entirety and you'll see what I mean. It's just great. Some specifics:The flow of the album as a whole was exceptionally well thought out, with a great mix of both high energy and mellow songs. The lyrics are very well written and moving, with one of my favorites being "I Didn't Put Anything Into Your Place," which captures the empty feelings of loss after a relationship has ended perfectly. "The Meaning in Me," another of my favorites, honestly seems to me like an anthem to our generation. If you've never heard Ryanhood before, do yourself a favor and get this album! Just make sure you have enough free money lying around to pick up the rest of their CDs after you get this one, because you're going to be sorely tempted to.
