There are two "Beautiful Night" CD singles, both UK imports. The single was not released in the US. Both singles feature "Beautiful Night" (from the album 'Flaming Pie') backed with a previously-unreleased B-side and an installment of "Oobu Joobo" (a shorter version of Paul's mid-'90s syndicated radio program of the same name) that contains previously unreleased material."Beautiful Night" CD single Part 1 features "Love Come Tumbling Down" - a pensive, mid-tempo pop number produced by Phil Ramone, recorded in 1987 during sessions that never materialized in an album release. It's a moody song, characterized by the general malaise McCartney seemed to be in during these sessions. It's also polished, melodic and worth hearing!"Oobu Joobu Part 5" runs ten minutes and focuses on the recording of "Beautiful Night" - including interviews with Ringo (who drums on the 'Flaming Pie' cut). The gem here is the original version of "Beautiful Night" - recorded about a decade earlier during the Phil Ramone sessions - that runs about four minutes and features a different lineup of musicians and a very different feel. Still a ballad, but with a heavier touch.
