When you think of countries connected to reggae, Costa Rica isn’t exactly at the top of the list. But many parts of that nation have close ties to the Caribbean and Costa Rica has produced many great reggae musicians. This album offers a nice taste of that and is a prefect introduction to Costa Rican reggae. Most of the songs are on the short side so none of them outwear their welcome. All of the songs are over the target by“Ay No!” by Nonpalidece,“Give Me Shelter: by the Baby Rasta Band, and “Bastara” by Los Cafres stand out. It’s a short album but if you can get it a good price, roll the dice on this one. Highly recommended.
