Arabian Nights & Holi Festival Music - Traditional Middle Eastern & Indian Celebration Songs for Parties, Weddings & Cultural Events

Back in 80's I first ever got a chance to listen only a portion of these great theme music in my country's (All India radio) radio program. In those old, golden days between two consecutive programs, if they could have some free time(which used to be typically 30 to 120 seconds), sometime they used to play some composition randomly from the LP: "Music for an Arabian Night". At that time I could not know the name of any of those compositions, nor the composer. In those old days, unlike today, internet was not much popular and easily accessible. So I was always eager to know the name of the magical composer and kept on praying to God so that I could listen to all of the compositions from that "haunting" LP record. God is there in somewhere and of course HE listens to all of us. So at the end of my teenage I was enough lucky to buy an 'used' LP of "Music for an Arabian Night" using my five month's total pocket money from a very old record-store at Wellington Square, Kolkata. My search finally ended after almost a decade!!Since then I have never felt bored to listen any of these compositions.I was immensely pleased to find it has been released on CD. The sound quality of "Music for an Arabian Night" is mono - but the performance is of a very high quality and is also a magnificent showcase of the variety of 'Lebanese' melodies.The sequel: 'Holiday in Beirut' also has quite a few beautifully created melodies arranged for westerners ears. Once you listen to it, you can not but keep on playing and playing the same CD.Whether your own Arabian night is scheduled to begin at a romantic table, beneath the stars or all along the perfumed coastline, Ron Goodwin's classic arrangements of Lebanese melodies will undoubtedly make your enjoyment complete in all sense.Highly recommended. Timeless music.I was going to give this CD five plus stars (I wish I could !!) - It's worth for that!!
