Madrigal of the Night Nattens Madrigal | Gothic Black Metal Music Album | Perfect for Dark Atmosphere & Vampire Themed Parties

I had first discovered Ulver through intensive study of black metal bands and history. I had heard some of Ulver's content before, but that material was of their post black metal efforts. Unfortunately I can't say I'm a big fan of the electronic side of Ulver's discography, but I'm not knocking them for doing what they want.Nattens Madrigal is in my opinion an instant classic. I'd go so far as to say no black metal collection is complete without this record. Naturally the production is low-fi, to the point the guitars at times sound like someone taking a saw to plate metal. I personally love it, as to my ears it gives the album so much personality than if they were dulled down. Anyone with a good imagination and the ability to think outside of the box (like with most black metal) will love this album. It is probably one of if not my all-time favorite album of the black metal genre. (Though Burzum/Aske is a close second).
